The wise words of Lao Tsu

*This too will pass * When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be * When you realize that all things change, there is nothing you will try to hold on to * Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage

Fridays Fantastic Class

Every Friday afternoon my week ends on a really good note. The last class of the week that I have is a class of "junior two" students who never fail to make me smile :-) The good thing is they are great learners, ask lots of questions about the English language, are very clever and still have a good time in the process. I wanted a picture with some of them to show you. So after we had done all the work for the lesson we took a couple of shots...This class utilizes having me around a lot by asking me questions around school and not only in class...I really appreciate that they are so keen to learn and I look forward to this class every week because I know I will always end the week with a smile :-)I guess I appreciate them even more because the class I have before them is the exact opposite...I have tried all kinds of different things to make them interested but to no avail...infact I think I could spin on my head and it wouldn't even get a reaction. To be fair there are some students in the class that do participate and want to learn...but the majority...well it's a class that makes you question yourself and whether you are doing a good enough job, but then I walk out of that class and into this class and I think...WOW. It's like "Chalk and Cheese", completely different.

Don't feel frustrated by the quiet class. This is not your own problem .I have taught such a class before.I tried every means to stimulate them but in vain . I think just as persons have their personalities, every class has its quality. Fortunately you have this fun class!.....Anna

This is the best class in Grade 8.Their headteacher is an English teacher who is very strict and energetic,Mr. Deng.Almost all the teachers who teach them like this class very much.It seems that good students do well in every thing, but those who dont do well enough in your class also dont do well in other classes.Dont feel frustrated. You are a very responsible teacher. You always come up with good ideas on making your class more fun.Students love you and your classes very very much.
